12 Days of Christmas - Day 7

Yesterday's blog posts were all about selling your art. I asked all of you to identify the biggest marketing challenge you face as an artist. The response was amazing! Many of you want help with identifying your style, getting in to galleries, pricing, building a better website and just balancing marketing and painting at the same time.

I have tried really hard these past few years to answer many of your marketing questions through the Artists Helping Artists show. But I realized earlier this year there was a need for more detailed information. That's why I created webinARTs to show you EXACTLY how to do all of this "marketing stuff".

I posted this question on yesterday's giveaway post because I wanted to get an even better understanding of what artists need to help make them more successful. I am currently updating the webinARTs class as software updates necessitate this to happen often. The first new course starts in April 2014. So mark your calendars and plan to sign up! All of your comments will also help to  determine show topics for the AHA show.  So thank you for sharing and I am going to do everything I can to help all of you!

I am not trying to push webinARTs on any of you. It's just that I believe it is a really great resource. All of the information is there to create a website, better blog, manage all of your Facebook pages and build a client list. And you have access to it for a year. As a way to say thank you for helping me I have created a discount code to save $20.00 off the April class. Use "save20" at registration to redeem this discount. This offer is only available to the first 25 people who register for the course! Visit the webinARTs website to learn morea nd register!

Now ... The winner of the Day Six Giveaway is Rosie Phillips. Rosie has won the April one month webinARTs course. Just email me and I will get you all signed up for the course. Congrats!

Today's giveaway is a set of 20 of my notecards (valued at $60). To be eligible for the giveaway, all you have to do is tell us about your favorite App! I love sharing information with students in my workshops and app are a great resource. My two favorite apps are Houzz and Waze. Houzz was a very helpful tool for our beach house remodel this summer. And Waze is the best app for navigation and traffic. It's free and everyone should use it!

Check out my new remodel blog for our new beach house in Ventura, Ca. I am now teaching workshops at the beach. Come stay and paint with me! I have workshops scheduled in the next twelve months in South Pasadena, Ventura Beach, Newport Beach, Charlotte, NC, and Atlanta, Ga. Click here for more information!

I really would like to be able to use the ValueFinder app created by Lori Putnam's husband, but it is only for iphone and ipad and I have a Droid. I contacted Lori and she said at the moment they don't have plans to write the app in the Droid platform, so I had to go shopping.

Unfortunately I haven't found one yet that works. This post is to warn artists of the "Artist Grid Tool" app. It doesn't work.

In fact, when I pulled it up to make sure I got the name right, a message popped up that read "Rate the Artist Grid Tool," so I clicked to rate it and guess what? It stopped working.
